First of Course in "Programming for data science" and "Data mining technique"

I’m now half-way completed my master's degree. Looking back over the past year, I enjoyed the time burying my head into the lecture notes and coding tasks. It’s not easy to accomplish the courses of the HKU Master of Data Science program as a part-time student. In the past week, I was pinged with messages congratulating me for being awarded the First of Course in both "STAT7008 Programming for data science" and "STAT8017 Data mining technique". This was encouraging and touching when I know my efforts were not in vain.

I am happy to share with you all that the program was selected as "The 10 Best AI And Data Science Master’s Courses For 2021" by Forbes. The curriculum is very comprehensive and practical enough to provide essential and advanced knowledge that equips one to be an all-rounded data scientist. I am proud to be one of the MDASC students. Here, you can have a chance to meet tons of elites and share ideas with them which is critical to broaden one’s horizon and stimulate creativity.

Last but foremost, a big big big thank to Professor Philip Yu for being my referee of the master application, and the lessons learned from you during the time of being your RA are extremely beneficial to my master study and work.
